I recommend we vote on the Rule for the 2006 year and onward the portion of the rule stating that FA ends at midnight and is 'last bidder wins' thing.

I agree. I think we should just adjust the clock from the 48-hour off-season to the 24-hour in-season.

Why wait to vote. Make all the rule change votes stickys at the top of the forum, and as people come on board, they vote yea, nea, etc.

preds was evil last year and took advantage of a loophole in the rule that basically ended all off season free agency actions at midnight.

preds went and placed a bunch of bids a 1 min before midnight and got a bunch of players on the cheap because the rest of us didnt realize the implication of the ebay style end of auctions at the end of off season free agency.
