When we get around to declaring contract years...

Can we make a post, and then change it prior to the Aug.30th deadline? I'll be ready to make my contract years this week... but want to be weary of possible injuries in the preseason games this weekend.

Yeah, I think you can just include a comment that your assignments are subject to change prior to the deadline. When the deadline hits, whatever is posted is final.
