Reopen contract years cap discussion?
 

I was looking over the roster app, and realized that the max years was 60 (yah, I am a bit slow, but steady :oldman ) I guess I didn't think out the ramafications of that, but have now. Even if I sign all 12 of my IDP's to one year contracts, that leaves an average of just a little over 2.5 years for the rest of the IOP's. Do we really want to have that much turnover each year? We'd stay pretty stable for first couple of years, but then it could get somewhat hectic. I am thinking we should up this, but want to hear everyone else's thinking.

I advocated 65 in this thread http://predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6287 but got shot down. I probably should have created a 65/32 option. Maybe it would have received some votes that way.

In any case, I'd still support a slight increast to the contract years, from 60 to 65.

At what point are we going to consider our 2005 rules finalized, and worry about necessary adjustments next season?

I'd be up for an increase. 65 sounds good.

I would think probably when the rules are "published." Any thoughts on that rule document coming out soon?

I was thinking about the numbers too, however I thought we got away from the IDP having to have only 1 year deals? I thought we said we would jump right in so basically with 30 spots your average is 2 years per player. I would not be adverse to raising it to 65 but would understand leaving it also.

Change my vote to 65.... rezlized we're delaing with IDPs as opposed to team DEF... got stuck in Frenxy thinking... maybe becuase im look whto pick at 4.10... the 57th rookie overall!
