League offices sieze control of Devil Hounds and assign NEW ownership.
 

After many weeks of failed negotiations and actions, the league offices siezed control of the Devil Hounds franchise today and immediately named new ownership.

The new owner lives in New Jersey and is named Rich Manz. He is an experienced FFL vet and actually commishes the Tundra Dynasty forums that share space on this board.

Rich has relocated the Hounds franchise to New Jersey and has renamed the franchise the Rabid Llamas. He will be forwarding the $10 trophy fee to Jake immediately.

The Llamas will be granted a short exemption (say till 8/25) to declare contracts and round out his roster with Free Agents.

Once Rich pays in, all 12 teams will have paid in, however, league officials are deeply concerned with the Wyverns franchise, as their owner hasn't checked in for quite some time, failed to declare contracts, and has several spots yet to fill on their roster. We are seriously considering taking over the franchise ownership and replacing it with a more active owner since inactivity is NOT what this league is about. More news will follow on the Wyverns franchise in the coming days.

League officials are also determining what penalties to impose on the Jersey Toxic Waste for failing to submit their contracts timely. It is believed that the Wastes owner is currently on the west coast w/o net access, thus the reason for the dealy. A cap penalty will be imposed AFTER we've spoken things out with Kyle.

Stay tuned... now how about we get the pre-season kicked into full gear with some feature reports from Linus Scrimmage!

I've printed the rules and will be going through them on my way to PA in one hour, then looking to understand the status of my roster. Looking at the excel sheet quickly, it appears I need to sign at least 3 players to active and 2 players to DS. I just need to better understand the contact and cap limitiation, then I'll make some moves. I think I just need to look at the FA sheet to see who I place a bid for.

It could be that I don't need to understand every rule right this minute, so a "here's the top 5 things you need to do NOW" would be helpful to get me on my way!

A Warm Welcome to another owner in the Tri-State area! Best wishes to the Rabid Llamas!

On a sad note, the rumors of Linus's demise are, unfortunately true. Due to time constraints the articles are going to have to go. School (where they keep requiring papers that count for my grades) and work (where they keep giving new and different responsibilities) have sapped both my time and my creative juices at this point. It is possible that Linus may make the occasional appearance but they will be few and far between. My apologies to all but hopefully someone else will be willing to take this role on!

I would like to extend my welcome to our new franchisor. This should be a great season, as long as we get a 12th active team (or move the inactive team to my division :D ).

I have a number of time constraints myself, or else I would attempt to step up to the plate and pick up Linus' slack.

Rich is going to be a great owner... a true asset to our league... and another easy win for most of us! (just kidding, rich!)

Sorry to hear about Linus. He worked hard when he could. Not sure if he got enough articles in to be considered for the "Frenzy Hall of Fame," though... will have to check the rulebook! :D
