Should teams be allowed to trade declining a RFA to the winning bidder?

Unless you've been in antartica you have some idea on this.

We'll sort out this issue first.

When it will take effect will be voted on afterwards.

BTW, I want to add that we can restrict the rule (on good faith) that no negotiations will be allowed until AFTER a player sells (to ease Joe's concerns). I know we can't police it, but I trust the honesty of the guys in this league in that regard.

Are we excluding the "yes as part of a larger deal, but no straight up" option? The way it is asked is all inclusive.

I think that is what it is meant to be.

SHould we add a third option, yes part of larger, no straight up?

The fact that we were unclear with the rule to begin with lead to this mess. Let's be clear now.

Modified the poll with a 3rd option. If either of the yes's win without a majority we'll hold a revote between the 2.

What if no wins without a majority?

can we eliminate "bigger" from the 2nd Yes option?

edit: or define "bigger".<script src="chrome://greasemonkey/content/scripts/1102161148673"></script><script src="chrome://greasemonkey/content/scripts/1102237157909"></script>

I added a 4th option, these votes will be added to either or yes options if needed. And I change my vote to be that way.

I think Joe is being parnoid.

B/C that means the tendering team and bidding team have to find some way to make 10 other people not up the bid. B/C thebididng team would still have to win the bids.

We can't even make a poll right the first time, how are they going to do that?

Nothing else going from the tendering team to the other team involved, except for the decline of the RFA. That's how I would define it.

You're far too trusting.

Gotcha....can you change my vote to the general "YES" vote then?

Edit: I just see that being part of a package

Re: Should teams be allowed to trade declining a RFA to the winning bidder?

Just to clarify....

This is still a yes vs. no....

if the total yes is more than no, than we just decide between which yes.

If that's not how the poll will be tallied then I will change my vote to either yes.

correct, if the yes's outweigh the no's we just then clarify which yes

You guys are paranoid.

How do you stop 10 other people from bididng on a player w/o setting the price higher than their value (meaning bididng a high enough cb)?

PLease someone tell me how to do this, so I can use it.

I agree that it's a moot point, I just don't "trust" anyone at this point. So yes, I believe that also makes me paranoid.

Guys, what is going on? I thought we decided to drop this issue until next off-season?! Where did this come from? If people want to argue the issue, that's one thing - but I really, really don't think we should be voting on anything right now.

I think the voting is going to help us stop arguing. We don't have to decide on WHICH sesaon this will or won't go in effect right now... we can hammer that out later. But obviously we weren't getting anywhere with 8 pages of passion...
