Though DJax has only spent a short amount of time with the Mutts, he was instrumental in a 2004 championship run, and therefore he will be fondly missed. The 1st round supplemental picks just look too good this year - I decline to match the offer to DJax.

Had i known DJax would be let go I would've bid on him instead of Horn. DOH!

Huh... heading into the RFA period, I thought it was pretty clear that the Undead and Mutts were the two teams likely to let one of their 1st round WRs go. Considering the cap space on everyone else's teams, it sure didn't look likely to me that anyone else would. Ward only became available from the Preds because of his acquisition of Marvin. Ward's high selling price was a direct result of Mike letting it be known he would be declining - at least that's why I stayed in the bidding. After I missed out on CJ, I knew my only other shot at actually retaining a top WR would be Hines Ward.
