Punt/Kickoff Return TDs: 6pts

Does this also apply to offensive players?

Re: IDP Scoring

good question. That's more special teams. However, Frenzy-folk: do you get points for offensive people who score TD on punts/ko? Or does it go under DT. If no offensive player gets points, then IDP shouldn't either. If they do, they IDP should. That's my stance

Re: IDP Scoring

Currently, offensive players do not get return points. I say no to adding it, because it just adds a level of randomness to the scoring. I hate randomness. But that's just me.

Re: IDP Scoring

Also may want to add in forced fumbles ... say 2 pts.

I don't like the punt/Ko return TD points. Makes a marginal WR (Dante) a stud. And it's really a crapshoot. Either way, why would it be considered an IDP category?

Re: IDP Scoring

Some IDP also do punt/KO returns...that's the only reason it was brought up. Since offensive players are not scored, I say we do not add it here.

Keeper, another great catch. I agree FF (forced fumbles) should be included. 1-2 points. probably leaning toward 1 because it only means more if the ball is recovered by the DT...otherwise like a pass deflected...stopped offense on that play, but they keep the ball. FR worth a lot more. plus, FF shouldn't be more than a tackle. Yes, CHANCE for turnover, but eh. others opinions?

Re: IDP Scoring

I say limit the FF to 1 point. Many time the player forcing the fumble recovers it. I don't think the combined act should be worth the same as a touchdown.

agreed

Re: IDP Scoring

how accurate are the stats for forced fumbles and deflections?

The Immortal Ramirez April 14th, 2005 03:43 PM

Re: IDP Scoring

NFL keeps pretty good stats. If in question, we can leave them off, but I think they are part of the game.

The important question is if FFLM supports that stat.

Re: IDP Scoring

OK...a little research reveals that forced fumbles and passes deflected are easily trackable...so adding these categories is hunky-doorey with me

....yes so long as FLM tracks them
