Predators stung by Frenzy Bowl Hangover
Congratulations Jim!
It seems as though my boys were suffering with a bit of a back-to-back Frenzy Bowls hangover! 95 points just isn't gonna cut it in the East Division. My boys weren't ready this week, but we'll be fine. Till then, I'll allow the joy to reign on the islands as you wake up to another beautiful day (for oh so many reasons lol)! We have a great rivalry, and if I have to take a Loss I'm glad it's to a guy I deeply respect. BTW, I'm in 7 leagues this year... guess how I did this week... 6-1. THAT should make it even more special for you Jim! Congrats again! Miike |
Re: Predators stung by Frenzy Bowl Hangover
This is news to me! I logged onto the site when I got home tonight (the game was already over) and I checked the scoring, and I was about 3 points short. Guess the page hadn't been updated to reflect the final scoring.
I got lucky, Mike... but I'll take it! In fact, I'll take anything I can get in this league. And Ashley Lelie's sipping a tall glass of champagne tonight here in the islands... I'll make sure he stops after just one glass... he's got a LONG WAY TO GO to becoming a legitimate starting fantasy football WR. But it was poetic justice, nonetheless. You're a classy rival, Mike. I look forward to our rematch down the line! |
OOPS... I messed up Jim, Sorry
Jim,
I apparently spoke too soon in a groggy barely awake state early this morning. Your comments about being surprised getting a win made me look closely at the stats, and I realized an error was made in the calculations within FFLM. FFLM has been having some issues automatically recalulating the scores when the updates are downloaded. When I ran the stats update at 2:40 am this morning, I forgot to manually tell it to recalculate the scores before running the web update. Carolina's D was being credited with 13 points, when in fact they only earned 3. Further, John Kasay was credit with 0 points when he had 2. In fact several scores were messed up aside from our game. Instead of a loss, the Insects NARROWLY escaped with a victory, and every other score involving a player last night was incorrect until I ran the recaluate tool. I apologize for the false hopes Jim, I actually thought you had won, and instead I have. Jake can back me up on the stats issue we've both been having. I think it's an issue with FFLM in general. Dang, I almost feel I should take the loss for giving you false hopes... I said ALMOST ;). Seriously, I apologize for the mixup. The way we both scored this week neither of us deserved wins! |
Re: Predators stung by Frenzy Bowl Hangover
What is this, Florida? I DEMAND A RECOUNT!!!
Nah, we need to make sure the scoring is correct... and I'll be accepting money from the Insects this week for doing their dirty work for them. You're right, Mike... neither deserved a win... but I sure wanted it. Come the end of the season, that one game could very well decide who makes the playoffs. |
Re: Predators stung by Frenzy Bowl Hangover
Whoa. Talk about evil. This has got to take the cake as far as trash talking a divisional opponent. That's like telling someone they hit the Lottery for millions only to revise that and say you've been sued and owe money for your dog getting hit by a car. Ouch. Kudos Mike, I never knew the depths of your evilness till now............
