WOW! I thought for sure y'all would bid Ricky up based on his potential for 2005.

I have no problems burning a roster spot on a player with his skills for a year or so, especially at only 150cb's. Do you guys REALLY think he won't be back?

I'm VERY happy with this late pickup. May have to write up a press release...

Hell, a little :smoke should be legal anyhow ;)

If I had a roster spot to spare, I probably would have bid him up. However, I really don't think he'll be back. His lack of desire to play the game leads me to believe he'll never be back into football shape. All he wants to do is find an island he can go and smoke weed on for the rest of his life. Also, how many running backs have missed an entire year and come back strong? Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad gamble to take when you have the room, I just don't think the odds are all that great of his (effective) return.

I think he'll be back in 2005 (albeit after serving a 4 game suspension). He's already hinted at wanting to play for the Raiders next year, which tells me this had more to do with the Dolphins than anything else. Also, the 8 million the Dolphins are going after already had him contemplating a return this year (which will NOT happen IMO).

I think at 150 he's got huge upside with the only downfall being burning a roster spot for a year or 2. I'll be giving him a 5 year deal, so if this pans out I could be setting myself for an even longer dynasty run ;)!

I'd also add, since I was burning a roster spot on that bum Lelie (sorry Jim), why not do so on a player with top 10 potential instead?

Yeah, but aren't the rumors that he's failed two drug tests this off season, so he'd be facing a one year suspension? I really can't understand why he'd want to play for Norv in Oakland when he openly complained about carrying the ball to much in Miami, and Norv is famous for using one back to excess.

No, he faces a 1 year suspension only if he tries to come back this year (since by retiring after the drug failure it's considered a failed test if he attempts to return the SAME year).

RW can come back in 2005 and is only facing a 4 game suspension.

doh i thought i sent you a pm about that when i was at a internet cafe, but i now remember i sent it to parkwood not to preds!

The team looks awesome and barring injuries (i need to read up on that) should win it all. It's fun drafting with those guys, only reason we didn't win it last year was because we missed the 1st three roubds and were stuck with moss, ravens d, and bills d due to the weird rating system they have.
