Well, he wasn't the stud receiver I was looking to pick up this off season, but he should be better than the scrubs I was dealing with last year.

The Dodgers cut the Green Bay Defense to make room on the active roster for Mr. Branch.

I like Branch better myself, but at 550 Brian had to shell out some cash.

I still think I'd give him a multi-year deal, even at that price. If Branch produces the way I think he might, he could be a real good value in 2005 and 2006.

Come on Mike, you're the self-appointed "King of Value"... do you mean to say you like Branch and his 550 salary that much better than Givens and his 195 salary? Especially with fantasy numbers so similar from last year? I thoroughly expect Givens to continue his end of the season streak as being Brady's favorite target. I can't help but get excited about the value of Givens this year, in comparison to Branch... especially considering he's fighting for my #3 WR spot, at best!

Well, I guess that means I was right for once.

Jim, I take what Mike said to mean he prefers Branch over Givens all things being equal. He can clarify for himself, but I sure didn't think he meant he things Branch at 550 is a better value than Givens at 195.

I don't think I can enter into a sig bet on it. I still haven't figured out how to change my sig since we went to the new board here.:retard

Just go to User CP, then click on the Edit Signature link on the top Left hand side of the page.

As for Branch, believe it or not, I'd rather pay 550 for him than 195 for Givens.

For whatever reason, Branch has shown me more potential. I see Givens beeing the next David Patten for the Pats (only taller)... having big weeks then disappearing others. I think Branch will be the more consistent and reliable WR, and I also think over the season he'll outscore Givens by a significant enough margin to warrant the salary difference.

Of course, this is coming from the guy who thinks Antonio Gates is a true TE sleeper this year... so take it with a grain of salt ;).

I don't want to do a sig bet... only because this is, at best, my #3 WR... not worth it, IMO!

However, Mike... I still think you're a bit off on your observation. Once Givens took over during the last-third of the season, he's been THE GUY. Period.

Anyway... enough of this discussion. Let's turn our attention to more pressing issues... like my seemingly incomprehensible acquisition of Emmit Smith!!!
