Just a question about thoughts on these two guys. The NFL has said that if they are kept out of the draft, they will hold a supplimental draft for them held soon after the reguar draft. If that ends up being the case, but the supplimental draft is held prior to our rookie draft, would we include them in our rookie draft, or have a suuplimental draft for them as well.

I would say if it the NFL held their draft BEFORE ours started, then they would be included in our 2004 draft pool. However if the NFL held their supplimental AFTER our draft had started then we'd have to hold a Supplimental Draft as per the rules from a year ago.

Weird situation aint it!

I disagree. Section 5c of the rules spells this one out fairly clearly, defining "as needed" basis as "whenever the NFL holds" a supplemental draft:

Stupid me for posting too quickly without referencing the actual rules document and going off the top of my head (I was trying to post while running out the door)... I stand corrected.

I still think this is a unique situation, but I'll go with the literal wording in the rules without a fight. Hopefully, if the NFL does hold a supplimental it'll be after May 10th ;)!
