Interesting, but in reality this is really the 1.6 for Westbrook (who only has a 1 year deal), the 2004 2.5, and likely mid to late 2005 1st and 2nd round picks.

The rest of the picks are useless garbage that'll end up on the scrap heap. The DS can only hold 5 players, and I can't see how the Derby Cars could expect to get any value out of the 3's and 4's even by trying to dump them in trade.

I guess the Derby Cars got something for their 1.6, but in their shoes, I think they shoulda kept the 1.6 and gotten an impact player.

This makes the Insects an interesting player with the 1.5 and 1.6. This is a weak RB draft, and they took 2 QB's last year so I'd guess their going WR, WR or WR and TE... maybe a Roy Williams and Winslow? I don't see Fitz falling outside the top 4.

Intersting deal, but in the long run despite what looks like a steep price, I think the Insects come out way ahead. A likely late 1st and 2 mid to late 2nd's for the 1.6... nice move IMO, real nice.

Thanks for the explanation (or interpretation), Mike... I had NO CLUE what was going on with this trade... looked like a "HERSCHEL WALKER SPECIAL" if you asked me!? Guess the Derby Cars are going with the "draft a lot of potential late-rounders and hope someone 'shines' by the time final cuts happen". Strange. Very strange.

Instinctively I would say great job by the Insects to move up and consolidate picks in a talent rich draft.

However, I can't imagine Soap Box (or should we say Derby Cars) has any intention of trying to keep 8 draft picks for next year. I think I want to see what happens over the next couple of weeks before I pass judgment on this one.
