Freedom make some changes

FREEDOM UNVEIL NEW LOGO AND HELMET

The Freedom today unveiled a new team logo, an initial “F” custom-designed for the team. The unique letterform features the team’s new signature eagle head, stars and stripes.

“People will associate the stripes with our team, and we wanted to incorporate that in a new logo,” said Max Sales, Freedom sales and marketing director. “It adds to our inventory of logos with a clean, simple design that has a strong Freedom identity.”

Also today, the club announced plans for helmet changes in 2004. The new Freedom helmets will be unveiled at the league website.

“Our players and fans have been interested in a revision to our helmets, and I believe everyone is going to be very pleased and impressed,” said Freedom owner Matt Marshall. “We anticipate a lot of excitement for this event. We also felt that it was important to try and provide some closure to our past three seasons. We have struggled and have not had the success that we have hoped for. However, with some of our younger players ready to make an impact we felt that now was the time.”

The new “F” logo will be on the new uniform (to be unveiled at a later date), and the logo will be a featured element in team promotions and merchandise. The Freedom Pro Shop has several styles of apparel featuring the new “F” logo available for immediate sale, and merchandise will be available for online orders within the next few days.
