Rumble in the East!
 

It's only week 3 in the NFL season... but already the Frenzy East division has a massive rivalry week! Every team is 1-1 after two games... so this weekend's matchups will start to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

The OPIHI will be limping into this heated rivalry vs. the PREDATORS without their starting QB, Tua Tagovailoa, who everyone and their brother knows had his 3rd concussion in 3 seasons. The Opihi are forced to choose with Kirk "Don't Make Me Throw Off My Back Foot" Cousins or Gardner "I Can't Believe I'm Still in the NFL" Minshew at the helm. Fortunately for the OPIHI, they have a stable of stud WRs (Chase, Olave, Flowers, Ridley) to pick up the slack.

The hated PREDS are rolling with a trio of home-town-heros: Josh Allen, James Cook, and Khalil Shakir. "I'm no homer," said owner Mike SantaLucia, as he was eating hot wings from the Anchor Bar ("Home of the original Buffalo Wing!")... "I just put the best athletes out on the field on any given Sunday."

The prognosticators believe this has the makings of a blowout... with the Preds an AUDACIOUS 38.8 point favorite this week (according to MFL predictions!). In fact, it's the most-lopsided point spread in the entire league. Are the OPHI worried? "Not a bit," says GM Jim White. "Our team always gets up for a game against the Preds. I expect this week to be no different."

These two franchises have quite a history in the Frenzy League with 8 championships between them (4 apiece). But the Opihi haven't won a 'chip' in a decade.. while the Predators were co-champions just 2 seasons ago.

This weekend's game could very well be a blowout.
Then again... you just might be surprised at what the Opihi bring to this divisional battle in upstate New York. Stay tuned!!!

The Opihi fail to mention that the Preds are without their top 2 WR's with both AJ Brown and Cooper Kupp on IR due to week 2 injuries.

FACT CHECK: MISLEADING
Cleary there is homerism on the Preds roster, but all 3 are actually legit studs at their positions (Allen and Cook are among the top players at their positions and Shakir is a rising star).

FACT CHECK: 100% #Fake
No self-respecting Buffalonian eats at Anchor Bar, they may have invented Buffalo's famous Wings but their wings actually SUCK! Better wings can be found at pretty much any bar in Buffalo, or at WNY favorites such as Duff's, Gabriel's Gate, Wingnuts and Bar Bill (though the Preds are not fans of Bar Bill's wingsauce).

FACT CHECK: 100% #Fake and MISLEADING
The Opihi fail to mention that this so called "prediction" doesn't factor in the actual starting lineup for the Opihi and has NO QB started and Josh Jacobs currently in the lineup with no projected points at this time as he is Questionable at the moment). Add in Minshew's Projected points and say Brandin Cooks 15.99 projected points over the 0 points currently listed for Josh Jacobs and suddenly the game is a toss up with just a 2.24 pt spread. Anything But "AUDACIOUS".

Finally a bit of Truth from the Opihi!

OVERALL FACT CHECK: We'll See
Any given Sunday, but clearly when you weed through the lies and misleading statements, you can see that this game is far more likely to be close than the Opihi claim.

THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH:
The Preds lead the All-Time Series* with the Opihi 19-10, including coming out on top in 9 of the last 10 meetings between the two clubs.

Vegas has recalculated the point spread... and as of today, the projected score is:

126.14 to 126.52

In favor of the (nasty) Predators.

Be thankful you get to avoid our stadium in the winter months this year. We look forward to munching on Opihi once again regardless of the Vegas spread (and the injuries on both squads)!

My Preds scored 196 week 1, what's you're point? Injuries to key starters have slowed us down, but we still a roster that can do serious damage any given week.

Lets see what happens between us week 4 Mr. Six!

My Preds are #1 in scoring and potential points, despite injuries at RB2, WR1, and WR2 that have resulted in a couple mediocre weeks... though we still somehow managed to beat the Opihi for the 10th time in the past 11 games #bulletinboardmaterialfortheOpihi
