Thoughts on moving the 2024 rookie draft?
 

Mike will be traveling in Europe and have very limited access to the internet for the first two weeks of the currently scheduled Frenzy draft.

Are folks open to pushing the draft back a couple of weeks (starting 6/15). Does anyone have a conflict with that or a reason it wouldn't work for you?

We're sailing a luxury expedition yacht (max 200 guests) out of Venice, to Croatia (Hvar Island and Dubrovnik), Ancona Italy, Montenegro (Kotor), and Greece (Corfu, Itea/Delphi, Corinth Canal, and Athens) with overnights in Venice and Athens onboard (and an extra night we booked pre-cruise at the St Regis on the Grand Canal in Venice).

Thanks all for being flexible, I think Kelly would kill me if I was focusing on football during this particular trip!

I’m ok with the move, however be advised that I leave for Spain for 2 weeks starting on 6/16 for the International Business Trip part of the MBA program I am currently in the middle of. I should have connectivity, but will likely be taking my full time or leaning on someone to make a pick for me.

Darn, I don't think it's right that my draft needs are inconveniencing Brandon.

In all seriousness, I'm completely fine if the league wants to have a replacement owner takeover my team for the 2024 season (either just the 1 season or permanently). I just don't think it's right for another team to have their draft majorly inconvenienced just because I can't do the original dates.

Whatever you all decide, just let me know and I'll go with whatever it is.

I won't post RFA's till there's clarification on what the league chooses to do.

Brandon seems to be fine with this... we'll just soldier through the little bit of a delay.
No worries.
Unless we get any more concerns, tomorrow I'll post the new draft schedule.

Okay... having had no real objections... we're going to OFFICIALLY move the start of the Rookie draft back two weeks... to begin on June 15th. I'll update the calendar accordingly.

I will also be in Italy, France and Switzerland from 6/3 - 6/18 lol. I hope to have some wifi at most places that I'm staying. IMO, the draft is much easier to manage than RFA would be.

I agree. If you have problems logging in at the start of the draft, we'll be generous in your 24+ hour clock to make a pick. No worries.

Since we moved the rookie draft date, are we also pushing back the end of RFA bidding? Or just have a couple weeks of downtime?

I'm up to whatever the group wants. Seems like pushing back the end of the RFA period is an easy fix.

What was decided on the RFA end date?
I'm good either way, but we need to know if we are ending Sunday or extending the duration..
With no one else giving any input :crickets:, this looks like a job for the commish to decide.
