Annual awards?
 

Hey guys, I was just thinking since part of the fun with Dynasty leagues is the history and tradtion built after years of competition. How about we start giving out annual awards like

FFL MVP
FFL Rookie of the year
FFL Bust of the year
FFL Breakout(Value) of the year
FFL Comeback Player of the year
FFL Executive of the year

And anything else you guys can think that would be fun.

It could be voted on like MVP, each team would nominate 3 players and list them. 1st player would get 3 points, 2nd would get 2 pts, and 3rd would get 1 points. Tally up the totals from each team and highest score gets the winner.

Sounds good! And would there be some stipulation like you can't vote for someone from your own squad (though not sure how we'd police that, except by honor system)?

Also, how about "Bonehead move of the year?" (referring to owner decisions!)...

Sounds like fun, how bout we start off last years season since it's fresh on everyone's mind... weel it's fresh in MY mind ;)!

Can we be more specific on MVP... is it the player most valuable to his team, or the player deemed most valuable overall?

I say we don't define that. Then, after the voting, we can debate it ad naseum each year just like the press does in baseball each year. Oh what fun it would be.

This is part of the fun of a subjective award. Personally, I would lean towards voting for a player that is most valuable to his team but there can easily be arguments made for a player deemed most valuable overall.

Should we just combine Breakout and Comeback POY and make it into one award, Value Player of the Year?

I think these 2 should be seperate.

BTW, we should title all these awards as "Frenzy" awards... like Frenzy MVP. Frenzy Comeback player, Frenzy Executive, etc.

I see them as separate, too...
