Poll - Change IR to 3 week minimum **PASSES unanimously - takes effect immediately **
 

This was brought up by Rick and there seems to be interest in the changing our current IR 4 game minimum to a 3 game minimum to more closely match the NFL's updated IR rule. NFL teams are now putting many players on the short term IR, which is 3 games.

Reasoning is that if a (KEY) player on your team gets put on short term IR (3 games), by their NFL team, you are likely not going to put him on your IR if they will be able to play in that 4th game. I know this is a newer NFL rule and I think we should update our rule to match.

This will allow us to use the IR rule as intended, for all players and not just players that are out for a long/extended period of time.

Since we are well past the start of draft, UNANIMOUS approval is required for the motion to be effective this season. A majority vote would put the rule in effect next year.

Where are you seeing 3 weeks?

Personally I like to have our rules match the NFL, but it looks like everyone else wants this, so I won't kill it.
