Revised 2022 Playoff Seeding Change Proposal **Passes 10-0
 
Revised proposal to SACD's playoff seeding:

The top 3 Seeds go to the 3 Division Winners and are seeded 1, 2 and 3 based on record.
  • Seeds 1 and 2 get the bye
  • The 3rd seed hosts the Wild Card team with the fewest All Play wins (which will be seeded 6th.)


Tie-Breakers for the Division Winners as follows:
  1. Overall Record
  2. H2H
  3. Division Record
  4. All-Play Record
  5. Overall Points Scored
  6. Defensive Points Scored
  7. Offensive Points Scored
  8. Random.org dice roll

Seeding for Division Winners will be as follows
  1. Overall Record
  2. H2H (only if all teams have played same number of games) i.e. skip H2H when 2 or more teams are from one division, and 1 or more are from another division since all teams haven't played the same number of common games.
  3. All-Play Record
  4. Overall Points Scored
  5. Defensive Points Scored
  6. Offensive Points Scored
  7. Random.org dice roll

The 3 Wild Card teams will go to the 2 non-division winners with the best remaining records, and the top remaining team with the most All Play wins.

  2. H2H (only if all teams have played same number of games) i.e. skip H2H when 2 or more teams are from one division, and 1 or more are from another division since all teams haven't played the same number of common games.

  7. Random.org dice roll

PLAYOFF MATCHUPS

Wild Card Round
Game 1 - 3rd seed hosts the 6th seed (Wild Card team with the fewest All Play wins)
Game 2 - 4th seed hosts 5th seed

Divisional Round
Game 3 - 1st seed hosts lowest remaining seed
Game 4 - 2nd seed hosts highest remaining seed

SACD BOWL
Game 5 - highest remaining seed hosts lowest remaining seed

I don't know... I'm thinking we should now have 7 teams make the playoffs with only one bye, just like the NFL lol...
