Mon April 19th at 11:59pm - RFA Declarations are Due
Fri April 30th at 11:59pm - Soft Cap Period Ends - Renegotiations and Franchise tag due
May 1st at 12:00am - Hard Cap Period Begins, rosters rollover and bonus add
Mon May 3rd at 12:00am - RFA Bidding Opens
Mon May 31st at 11:59pm - RFA Bidding Closes
June 1st at 12:00am - Rookie Draft Begins

First Monday after rookie draft ends at 12:00am - Opening of the UFA period

August 31st at 12:00am - this will be a flexible date each year that basically commences the day after the 3rd pre-season games end (4th for the few teams that play 5). This will be approximately 7-10 days before the NFL regular season kicks off - Injured Reserve Opens

Aren't you a week off? This is the first weekend of games... so the 3rd weekend of games would be the weekend of the 27th-29th... making the 31st our target date? At least that's what I put for FRENZY. Or am I off?

It depends on which takes precedence in the rules as this particular one is now outdated. Teams only play three preseason games instead of four, so either the declarations continue to be after the third week of games, which is only three days before the first game of the season or they are due after the second week of games so that they remain 10 days before the first game is played.

Earlier in the off-season we all discussed keeping the rules as is with all moves do within 24 hours of the NFL's final cuts. The last NFL Week 3 Pre-Season game is on Sunday August 29th and I believe rosters have to be paired down to 53 by Monday 8/30, meaning our pair down / roster declaration day will be by Tuesday 8/31, not 8/24.

Burt's timeline works. While there are only three preseason games this year, they increased the time between the end of the preseason and the start of the regular season by one week, so we'll still have over 10 days before games start based on Burt's dates.

Silly question as I am starting to review my roster to make decisions. Do we assign years to PS/TS players in this league or just when they are moved to active roster?

We did not vote on this rule in SAC'd - only Frenzy. So yes, we still assign years to all new players.

I was going to put this out for vote here, but I decided did not make as much sense in SAC'd, since we offer renegotiations, which allows you to keep players well beyond the 5 years.

But that was my reasoning for not putting it out to vote on....I am just commish, not dictator, so if anyone else feels it is worthy of a vote, go for it...
