Mon., April 19th at 11:59pm - RFA Declarations are Due
Fri., April 30th at 11:59pm - Soft Cap Period Ends
Sat., May 1st at 12:00am - Hard Cap Period Begins & 4th year Taxi Squad members rollover to Active Squad.
Sat., May 1st at 12:00am - RFA Bidding Opens
Mon., May 31st at 11:59pm - RFA Bidding Closes
Tues., June 1st at 12:00am - Rookie Draft Begins
Wed., June 30th at 12:00am - this date will also be somewhat flexible in that as it would not open until the 1st Monday after the rookie draft has been completed - Opening of the UFA period

Tuesday, Aug. 31st @ 12:00am: The first Tuesday following the last game 3rd NFL pre-season week at 12:00am - this will be a flexible date each year that basically commences the day after the 3rd pre-season games end (4th for the few teams that play 5). This will be approximately 7-10 days before the NFL regular season kicks off - Injured Reserve Opens

Updated the dates for our roster declarations... normally we have them due after the 3rd weekend of preseason games (10-ish days before the start of the regular season). But this year there's one less game... so 10 days before pushes things up earlier. Thus the new dates.

Jim, we all discussed keeping the rules as is with all moves do within 24 hours of the NFL's final cuts. The last NFL Week 3 Pre-Season game is on Sunday August 29th and I believe rosters have to be paired down to 53 by Monday 8/30, meaning our pair down / roster declaration day will be by Tuesday 8/31.

Well... that's what I originally put... then saw Burt's post in SAC'D. So I'd forgotten that we said in Frenzy we'd go with the 31st. D'oh! Thanks for reminding me.

The season opener isn't until 9/9, so we're still 9 days prior the opening game, and 12-13 days prior to the rest of the week 1 games.

In the rules rewrite, the following was approved:
The Sunday prior to the first regular season game at 12:00am – Injured Reserve Opens
The Sunday prior to the first regular season game at 11:59pm
 Off Season Free Agency Ends
 RFA/UFA/Rookie Declarations are due
The Monday prior to the first regular season game at 12:00am – Opening of In-Season Free Agency
NOTE: these will be flexible dates each year that fall on the Sunday or Monday before the first NFL game of the season. Approximately 4-5 days prior to the NFL season

I wanted to confirm the league dates.
Are we going with the Stated date above (Tuesday 8/31/21)
or the rules date of the Sunday prior to game 1. (Sunday Sept 5).

I have a couple of roster moved I need to make prior to the cut off. One of my moves might change and wanted to be sure I know the deadline date.

We had discussed moving the cut day to the Sunday prior to week one's games.

SO I'M GIVING EVERYONE UNTIL SUNDAY (9/5) TO MAKE THEIR FINAL DECLARATIONS.

Sorry for the confusion on the dates.
I thought it was all ironed out back in May/June.
Thought the date move would allow everyone the chance to get through NFL roster cuts and possibly NFL waiver pick ups before making cuts.

For next season, maybe we need to put this out as a league vote or simply move the dates back to the Tuesday after Preseason week3.

I am perfectly good with whatever is decided.
