2020 Frenzy Playoff Picture
 

Here's a quick look at where the playoff picture stands... heading in to week 14 in the Frenzy.

TOP SEEDS:
EAST CHAMPIONS - Six Killer Bees (9-4)
CENTRAL CHAMPIONS - Zombie Pirates (10-3)
WEST CHAMPIONS - WchMeGo Red Roosters (9-4)... (note: The Wolverines (8-5) lost twice to the Roosters, so they cannot win the division, even with a win and a Roosters loss in week 14).

If the Pirates win v. the Dixie Chickens, they'll lock up the #1 overall seed.
If the Pirates lose and the Bees win, the Bees will get the #1 seed (they beat the Pirates in week 7).
NOTE: the Roosters lost to both the Bees and Pirates, so they cannot get the #1 seed.

WILDCARD RACE:
The first 2 wildcard spots go to the teams with the best records. Here's where that stands going into this week's games:
Dixie Chickens (8-5)
Whiskey Wolverines (8-5)
Liquid Swords (7-6)
Philadelphia Freedom (7-6)

The final spot goes to the non-playoff team with the best all-play record. It's basically a 3-horse race:
Swords (.661)
Chickens (.594)
Wolverines (.531)

Thanks Jim. I haven' had time to dig into the details for this.

Swords appear to be a victim of unfortunate schedule matchups as their all play is 3RD best in the league! Normally I would root for Pat in these circumstances, but then I own his 1st rd pick, thus I'm hoping he lands with the 6 seed instead of something higher!

IF Chickens and Wolverines lose, and Swords and Freedom both win, then Freedom gets 1st WC slot and Swords 2nd spot, based on H2H record among the 4 of us...Pat and I tied with 2-2 records, but he would have better division record, thus gets the spot. So would most likely be between Chickens and Wolverines for All Play, and Chickens currently has 9 game lead there.

So Chickens would have to put up a REALLY horrible game to not make it....our goal all year has been to go from Worst to First, so bring it on!!

My woeful OPIHI only have 3 wins this year... but they're all against teams in the playoff picture: Swords, Chickens & Bees. So, you know I'm not tanking! lol

Pfft, go for the win THIS week when it matters most to your Opihi. Bring it on against my Preds!

Show us your not tanking with the #1 pick on the line. Improve your roster significantly by activating Myles Gaskin, as well as calling up Tua, Swift (if he's back from his injury) and Shenault.

Give me the best you've got week 14, and put your money where your mouth is (regarding tanking)! ;)

PS we still have team unity for RHP #RHP in SACD right? LOL

Um... nope.
Gaskin is still on IR... not eligible this week.
I'd rather keep Tua and Shenault on the TS for next season.
You'll still have to beat the rag-tag team I've put together. Think you've got it in you?!?

Unfortunately I think we're a lock to beat that rag tag squad, and as a result will put us in the position to be he 5th seed instead of the 4th. I was hoping for stiffer competition as I suspect the Burners will lose against Roosters (it'd be an upset if he didn't) and I think barring something shocking, my Preds will defeat your Opihi this week handily.

We've been playing a lot better the past 3 weeks, even putting up our 2nd highest points of the season this past week (and highest since week 4). Despite trading so much talent away, we still had quite a bit left once they got healthy.

Mike... you were totally right.... if by "handily" you meant 0.60 points. Well done. You barely survived my "rag tag" squad. ;)

Just rub it in some more why don't you! That 0.60 points cost us the # 4 pick. Of course winning 3 of our last 4 didn't help our cause for a high pick either.

I HATE being in the middle of the pack. Finishing 6-8 just stinks! Who knew I could trade away a starting lineup worth of skill players and only have it cost me 2-3 wins at most. Ugh! Unfortunately I'm too competitive to just outright tank...

On the plus side, the 2021 Rookie Draft should be an interesting one for the Preds. We have with 4 top-12 1st rd picks for the first time ever, as well as a couple 2nds. Time will tell whether we move some of that draft capital or use it!

Knowing you... you'll move at least SOME of it (I'm guessing to move at least one more pick into the 1st round in 2022). Well done.
