So... I've been SUPER excited for "Hamilton" to drop on Disney+ on July 3rd (just saw the trailer today!). But as I was looking over the Frenzy site today, I realized our ROOKIE DRAFT starts a week from Wednesday (July 1). Woot!!! YES!!!

We saw Hamilton in Chicago as well. We also saw the Hamilton touring cast in Buffalo a couple months later. About a month later, the actor who played Hamilton in the touring cast we saw in Buffalo was named the lead in NYC which is pretty big. Funny thing was, we thought the lead in Chicago was better. LOL

And as for shows. 'Wicked' is the best show I've seen on stage. Great show if you ever get the chance to see the Broadway touring show..

Saw WICKED in Honolulu when the touring company came to the islands... and then saw it on the West End in London! AWESOME show!

Saw Wicked in NYC, bought tix a few hours before the show at the box office and they gave me 9th row center seats for upper mezzanine prices. I absolutely hate the Wizard of Oz story/movie, but LOVED Wicked. My wife is the opposite, loves the Wizard of Oz but was somewhat disappointed with Wicked. Probably because she went in seeing it with expectations too high.

Come From Away is another OUTSTANDING musical I highly recommend. We saw the original cast twice in NYC and the touring company in Buffalo. It's a comedy/musical based on true 9/11 stories about the small town of Gander, Newfoundland and 38 planes from around the world that were diverted there due to the terrorist attacks, doubling their population for a short time.

I heard Come From Away was great. We have season tix for the Denver Broadway touring shows each year, but we missed Come From Away due to weather - couldn't make it up to Denver. looking forward to it returning to Denver...

Saw Lion King in NYC...was ok...not into musicals at all...on the plus side, saw The Nutcracker in Chicago circa 1973... total disappointment as it had nothing to do with angry women at Christmas time...ugh....

It's been an annual tradition for my wife and I to go to the Nutcracker each year on Black Friday at the Pikes Peak Center. The OKC ballet has performed over the past several years. The Colo Springs Philharmonic plays during the show and we really enjoy the music. We are supporters of the Philharmonic, going to several shows each season. Love the music...

I get the privilege of seeing The Nutcracker performed six times every year. My daughter has been dancing ballet since she was 3 (soon to be 11). The ballet studio where she studies puts on six shows every year with all the students (ages 3-18). They also bring in the principal male dancer from Boston Ballet to dance the role of the prince. I always watch one show from the audience and volunteer for the other five shows backstage.
