Board...

Who exactly makes up the "board"??? I know Opihi is commish, and Pred is the creator and on it, Chicken is on it...is Sword, Emerald, or Scorpion on it??? Just curious for the West division to be represented...you know, in cases where decisions have to be made...

Re: Board...

Having trouble with my HOA in AZ and made me think of leadership roles...lol...not for me but who exactly sits on them and who represents me...our league is like an HOA and I'm curious who represents us when the West has issues...

Cards have a new stadium planned and just want to make sure it fits in league guidelines...

Re: Board...

Opihi (Commissioner), Swords (Capologist), Scorpions & Preds (Assistants).
Burt is a consultant (voice w/o vote, since he's the commish of SAC'D).

Oh yah... and good luck on your stadium. We're rooting for you!

I vote AGAINST the new stadium... I know it could bring you more revenue and possibly a new TV contract, but the nostalgia of your current stadium just makes me smile...

A FRENZY poker tournament would be epic! Can we do this online sometime? Pokerstars or something?

Pokerstars is not available in most US states. Most US player play on Bovada/Ignition/ACR. Just got back from Vegas / WSOP. Unfortunately, didn't cash this year in anything but did well playing cash.

WOW! You've entered the tourney?!? then you're WAY above my league in hold'em.
So... let's not play for money when we do a Frenzy tourney!

The WSOP has a lot of tournaments with buy in ranging from $500 up to $100,000 K. There may some with higher buy in now. The one most people are familiar with is the 10K main event.

I've played since 2006 in about 8-10 events that range from $1500 to the $10000 main event. Cashed 3-4x, but never got too deep in anything. My game is called PLO8 (pot limit omaha high low). It's similar to holdem except you get 4 cards, and the pot is sometime split between the high and low hand depending on the 5 card board. It's a pretty complicated game, but one that I've played a TON and have a pretty good edge over the field.

Well...I guess when the new digs are completed I will have to spend some time in the garage building new tables...I sold/gave away the 8 I made for The Lone Wolf Poker League...I always wanted to build one with pennies on the track and a couple wheat pennies thrown in for good measure...

We will have a regular basement with no walk-out so real tourneys will be difficult...

I have zero WSOP experience, but I have played in nightly games around Vegas...just $100 to $1,000 buy ins...cashed some and gained valuable experience...all TX Holdem...Bobby, Burt, and Rick have mixed it up with me some too...I can't seem to remember who has won the most money between us though...lol

Poker Atlas is a good app to find games wherever you are...

Dang. I only have "poker night" at my house from time to time. Have my old clay chips with homemade wooden holders (bought those). Never played in a "real" tournament. Once was in Vegas and paid $30 to enter a single table tournament. I lasted an hour. Wasn't the first one out, so there's something to say for that, I guess.

I've heard bout Omaha... never played.

Guess I'm a Hold'em 'noob' compared to most of you, then. Too cheap to actually pay money to play poker (too worried I'll lose it, I guess).

I read that most poker pros have gone broke a few times during their career. Doyle Brunson said that to be a good poker player you have to have a complete disregard for money.
