Acquired Rookies Question
 

If a rookie is added by trade, claim filed on rookie cut, or UFA pick up before the August 2019 roster declaration date is the new team rookie eligible for teams Taxi or Practice Squad (if other requirements met)?
The wording of draft trade between Scorpions and Burt included "the rights of" so it is clear to me that Scorps can put TE on Active or Taxi Squad.
Generally player must be drafted by team or from sending teams Taxi or Practice to have the option to meet requirements but this is pre Declaration period.

I bring this up because I was hoping to replace a Practice Squad player and want to find out if new player can slot in or not. If not then most likely will not try to deal or make claim.

My best guess after reviewing rules is no...

I just put my laptop up, getting ready for granddaughter birthday here soon, so can't get the rules out.
But from memory, I know players can be traded from one persons TS or PS to another persons TS only.
Players can only be assigned to PS via draft, and only specific rounds.
Claims and FAs are not eligible for either.

so after looking at the rules, I was correct. Only players drafted can be placed on a teams TS or PS. Players traded from one teams TS or PS can be placed on other teams TS only. Players can be promoted from PS to TS, but not the other way. Players can only be assigned to PS via draft.
