It was hard to tell what was going to happen... at the time he could still have been suspended for the entire year. I was definitely thinking long term when bidding, now I just got a bonus :)

No doubt, but it's a lot easier to tolerate that risk on a 1001cb contract versus one for 2700+ which is what he really should be getting! Roosters had the cap space to take the gamble and it may payoff big!
