Unhappy with recent on field performances, the Nittany Dodgers annouce the following roster transactions:

CUT
Rich Gannon-sad to see him go, he's put up some big numbers and set a lot of records, but it's time to look to the future.
JJ Stokes-Da bum.
David Patten-OK, so RFAing him was a mistake. I can admit that.
Desmond Clark-Need the contract years back.


PROMOTE FROM DS
Patrick Ramsey-Dodger QB of the future is now.
Nate Burelson-Rookie shows promise, need depth and upside on active roster.

Your cut of Desmond Clark has put you in violation of the mandatory 5 roster slots for TE/K/D. This must be rectified within 24 hours of your post to drop Clark, or Mike will be moving in swiftly to levy penalties.

Which basically means unless you can acquire someone via trade, you're stuck... because any player you try to claim now, won't clear until after that 24-hour period. Catch-22. I've been there. I feel your pain.

Dodgers, contact me tonight if you can, I'll trade you one of my TE's for a draft pick so you can dodge the penalty.

I thought of that after the fact, and checked the times. His drops were posted 2 minutes before the bid for Clark was placed, so the bid would have went through after the 24 hour window anyway. Besides, I need a replacement for Alexander.

Bubba Franks is aviable for trade.

Well, you'd think that since I re-wrote the rule book I would actually know what the rules are. For some reason I was thinking we could still vacate those openings as long as we didn't fill it with another position player.

I've got a few hours to work something out, otherwise I'll take the hit.

On a related note, the Nittany Dodger marketing department is currently working on a new logo for the proposed name change for the 2004 season; the Nittany Roster Violations.

Hey Dodgers, may we could convince that league that contraction is needed. We could merger and maybe field a half decent team. What do you think????:toast:
