Week 16 was no different than week 17. Depth and key UFA moves during the playoffs win championships. As Jim basically stated, studs will get you to the playoffs, but depth wins titles.

Depth and a frenzy of week 17 free agent pick up attempts to cover NFL resting their studs for a meaningless final regular season game.

After that "snarky" remark… we discussed this in depth last off season and this is the playoff schedule that the majority decided on.

That and with it only directly involving 2 teams per year (in which I have only been a part of once)
I am willing to roll with it without further complaint.

I sure do like all the other weeks' schedules!!!

OPTION 1 - 6 playoff teams, playoffs weeks 15-17, week 17 championship

OPTION 2 - 4 playoff teams, playoffs weeks 15-16, week 16 championship

There were 5 teams that voted for a week 16 championship....including all 4 semifinalists. LOL

All I remember is the drama with having to do a runoff because a couple of the options were too similar in the first vote.

Lets have another vote please but split it up instead of lumping all the choices together.

Poll 1 - length of season, finals week
Poll 2 - number of playoff teams

Then we can get on the specific things depending on which choice is made like doubleheaders, how many times we play division foes, etc

I'm going to put this out there, and is what it is, but I'm at a point that I'll just walk away and retire from the league before ever playing again with doubleheaders.

Yes I'm being a PITA, yes I'm just 1 vote, but just telling you up front, if any schedule passes with a double header, start looking for a new owner.

Maybe it's better off if I do just that regardless, but a vote to go back to double headers will cement my decision to walk away.

It would be a shame to lose you again Mike. You are major contributor to the fun of this league, and the excitement!

That being said, I am not a fan of either the double header or the week 17 championship.

But if we continue to go with Week 17 Championship, maybe consider adding expanded roster for playoffs? Maybe add two slots - same rules for FA pickups and farm squad movements apply?

Interesting idea, could be worth some good discussion there. Do you allow each team some additional cap to accommodate 2 extra slots? If so, what amount? Maybe 500cbs? Also, post-season UFA rules should still apply (i.e. 1 year deals and can't tag as RFA's).

yes, additional 500cb added to each playoff teams cap seems fair.
