Sad, I have to cheer these guys on because I own and play them in my seasonal league...big money league...won regular season (11-3, on 10 game heater) - $1,000...on to playoff chase with Mahomes leading way...playoffs don't pay as much as regular season...

I'm commissioner of 3 leagues. None of them are money leagues.
Am the #1 seed in the other 2.
And then there's THIS league.

I'm in 1 league, commissioner in none. Have NEVER had a losing record in Frenzy.... until THIS year. The Preds just all-around SUCKED this year, from management on down to players. May be time to hang up our cleats for good. Been debating it the past year and still weighing out whether it's time. We'll see how I feel in a month or 2 after getting away from the games. I'm tuning out for the rest of the NFL season and playoffs (including the Frenzy).

BTW I'm heading to NYC tomorrow morning and won't be available for any further updates on the MFL this weekend and can't make any promises for MFL updates in wks 16 or 17.

I'm really hoping to avoid anything football related (including the boards here) for the next couple months so I can evaluate if I really want to step aside for good or come back another season. Feeling like football in general (not just this league) is such a time suckage with so little reward.

Yeah, that league is $200...so I may pay a little more attention to it than Frenzy...then there is my wife's work league where the players get points for everything from waking up in the morning to NOT kicking their dog at night...it is honestly not fun...Frenzy for sure takes more brain power and one little misstep here has longer lasting effects (good and bad). AND quite honestly - to impress on Pred - I care more about this "practically" free league the most, even though I like money (a lot), because of the time, sweat, blood, tears, we pour into our squads year to year. We build these teams and grow players to fill in weaker spots. We take chances on FAs to test our gut feelings. I feel the ultimate reward here is much more satisfying!!! Looking at the past champs is the fuel burning my desire to get on that wall. Cards circle all those games when the schedule comes out each year. Heck we even know that Dogs and Scorps are past champs. We take pride in putting up challenges each week even though we may not win because there is the carrot of the 6 seed out there, which we were fortunate enough to win this season. This was the closest season I remember where 4 or 5 teams were within a few overall wins of taking that 6 seed. Exciting to say the least!!! Time off from this league is precious and always, always fuels my fire to dive back in when the clock is up and ticking again. I hope Pred stays for selfish reasons, we are 0 for life against them...lol...rest up Mike and we will see you next season where the cap increases, age, injuries, and FA will catch up to Bee and make him vulnerable again...
