Question on cutting players on rookie contracts...
I have not seen much of this (cutting players on multiple year contracts), so how would it work since this is the only time they get performance bonuses beyond the 10% automatic bump in pay? Like sayyyyy, oh, the number 1 RB last year getting cut in the 2nd year of a 5 year deal? He is obviously a FA now so no more performance bonuses...I get that there will be penalties for rest of 2018 and some in 2019, but what about 2020 since that would have been year 5 of rookie contract? Just curious because this is an odd situation...and before I may bid on him as a FA...
