2002 OFFICIAL RFA's by POSITION
Do not bid on a RFA like you would on a normal free agent. While you want to get a guy as cheap as possible, you have to keep in mind that if you low ball a bid and nobody ups it, your giving the team that tendered the contract an opportunity to steal a player cheap by matching the contract.
Keep this in mind when you make your bids, think of fair market value, or better yet, try to nail a team who can't afford a higher price by bidding beyond their means ! There are a lot of strategies you can use, but the ultimate goal is either to make the bid too uncomfortable for the tendering team to match, and therefore steal their player, or hurt them by making them pay to keep there talent!
