The Opihi have been the only team Travis Kelce ever had. We saw his potential early and drafted him as a rookie. We stuck with him when the Chiefs couldn't figure out how to get him the damn ball. We were pleased with his "breakout" season last year. We're also glad that he's going to be getting paid this season. However, it will not be as an Opihi. We will respectfully DECLINE to match this much-deserved contract, and wish him well. The Opihi will use the cbs in the UFA signing period, and happily take the comp points to get a first round pick.
