Opihi don't like the cold!
 

While it seems the Preds often fall to the Opihi in the heat out west, the Opihi often have a similar problem with the chill of WNY when they head east.

That said, I don't know if the Preds have ever swept the Opihi in regular season games. Maybe once? The Opihi are a formidable foe year end and year out so it's quite an accomplishment for our boys, especially in game that was a potential division clincher for the Opihi.

The home fans were loud and the Preds put up their best effort of the season behind their support to stay alive in the Eastern Division hunt and complete a rare regular season sweep of the Opihi.

The Opihi are still a game up, so the Preds still need help (and have to take care of their own business) to have a chance at the division title, but anything can still happen in the final 2 weeks of the regular season.

Next up are the Killer Bees. A team vastly better than their overall record which is well represented by their All Play record which was a game better than the Preds heading into week 12. The Bees already overwhelmingly stung the Preds back in week two, but can Bees fly with frozen wings? The weather forecast is calling for a cold spell next weekend and potential heavy snow, the kind of weather our Preds love to hunt in. Week 13 is looking like a huge week and the Preds fans are sure to also be rooting strong for division brethren Philadelphia Freedom to upset the Opihi!
