I wish I could say I expect a good battle, but truth is we're slumping having lost 2 of our last 3 weeks with some uninspiring efforts.

Hopefully we'll be up for the challenge against one of the top teams this season. That said we have key players on bye and some not so good matchups... honestly I expect to have another mediocre to poor week and think it will be quite an upset if we somehow pull out a win.

Re: Pred at home...

We have been up and down also with Gordon needing some rest (bye week) and Blount more than likely not going to perform as well as last week...we could be in trouble and the Cards will be 1-2 against the 3 targets outside the division...granted Emerald has the biggest target as defending champ...trying to keep a lead on Sword too so we dont see Bee in playoffs...gonna be interesting...need Dallas to keep Joe down a bit...

Re: Pred at home...

Heading into the Sunday Night game:

Preds 109.95 + Jordan Reed
Cards 93.65 + Lamar Miller & Sebastian Janikowski

Can Reed (12.23/wk avg) plus 16.3 outscore Miller (17.27/wk avg) and Janikowski (9.49/wk avg)? Average stats have it essentially even (1.77 avg pt edge to Preds).

A closer look at advanced stats reveals that although Reed faces the 16th ranked pass defense, a analytics show they rank 26th overall against the TE position allowing an average of 12.63/wk). Thus it's reasonable to assume Reed should score close to his average.

Meanwhile for the Cards, Miller has what looks to be a juicy matchup against the Raiders 21st ranked rush defense and 27th ranked pass defense. Analytics reveal that against the RB position the Raiders rank 21st overall allowing an average 27.78 points against to the RB position each week. Janikowski faces a Texans Defense that ranks middle of the pack at 17th overall in points allowed to Kickers with an average of 8.82 per week against.

If the Advanced stats hold true the Cards should win this by 4-7 points.

Not sure why you doubted Blount who faced the leagues worst rush defense this week. I need a well above average week from Jordan Reed to have any chance IMO. I'd say the Cards have about a 75% chance of winning come Monday night. Maybe higher.

Re: Pred at home...

I'd put the Cards at about a 95% chance of winning tomorrow. Frankly I'll be stunned if they lose. Congrats Chuck!

A sub-par week by Jordan Reed is gonna likely leave the Preds with their 3rd loss in 4 weeks and essentially no longer controlling our fate in the Eastern division.

We're majorly struggling as we head into another big game against the Opihi Week 12. An Opihi win will seal the division for them.

Re: Pred at home...

Looks like I ned about 27 from the two guys Monday night...Miller is still coming off a shoulder stinger and splitting carries, but Blue is out...I'd like to see more passes Miller's way to help the young QB...I am worried about my coach playing every single WRONG pass catcher from receivers to TE...every single starter was worse than every bench player...SMDH...AND if Sebastian scores under 14, then add Kicker to the list...I would guess my efficiency is about 60% - well below the 88% league average...so sad...Nice game Mike - Minnesota kept me in the game, but looks like Reed put the nail in the coffin...my 1st could'a..THANKS DOGS FOR THE JINX!!!

C'mon man!! Chuck if you lose look somewhere else for a scapegoat. You sound like some of those rioting college kids looking for a safe zone.

Chuck I'd much rather be in your shoes tonight than mine. I think you win EASY tonight. Possibly before halftime.

I would always want to go into the game with the lead...too many variables and like you my experience thus far has been disappointing.

Sure the lead is great when it's big enough, but a 26.5 point lead against Lamar Miller and Janikowski is highly unlikely to hold up. Chuck should have this by halftime, 3rd quarter at the latest.

I am with Emerald on this one...there are too many scenarios and game changes that may happen to lose potential points...like,,,oh,,,lets say Oakland scores 5 or 6 TDs and Houston has to throw the ball down field a lot...yeahhhhhhh....that leaves me about 10 points shy - all sitting on my bench...HOLY HELL!!!!

If Oakland does well then Janikowski likely does well also. You have a double edge sword. Wanna do a friendly wager on your victory tonight?

Re: Pred at home...

Oh please. You've won with ease and will continue to expand your lead. Told you'd itd be an easy easy win. I hate being right.

Time to figure out WTH to do with my once again mediocre overrated squad. Our record is a charade and recent weeks are showing our true colors.

The trade deadline is Wednesday, maybe I'll blow it up. Anyone willing to part with a 1st for one of my players? I'm actually dead serious!

Got lucky with setting my lineup all jacked...I wanted to start Steve S to offset some of your QB numbers...just couldn't pull trigger...great effort I thought by both squads...

Totally disagree. My squad is inconsistent overrated garbage. Our early record was a fluke. The last 4 weeks have shown that. I predict we'll continue our losing ways and will drop 2 of our final 3 to finish 8-6 (and 2-5 down the stretch).

We'll make the playoffs due to our fluky early season wins that led to a 6-1 record, but likely will be one and done in the post season. Just not good enough. I don't like or tolerate mediocre. I believe in either being REALLY good, or blow it up bad. Nothing I despise more than a .500 or near .500 club. The stats showed we were middle of the pack at best at the halfway point, despite our record. The last month has proven that to be true.

Time for the players on the Preds to truly fear for their jobs, because with the exception of all but 1 or 2 players nobody is safe.

Re: Pred at home...

You said ALL that last year and basically went with a stand pat team...I took a chance on Miller and you stayed with Brown...they are both too much of cap space...granted, too many players causes bad coaching at times (me this week regardless of W), Rookies just don't win games for you...too many moves too often add up to seeming chaos...your team has every chance to do well in playoffs pending NFL matchups...I have not looked that far in advance, but like being 3 games up in division and now up on Sword for the #2 seed, he beat me H2H so I guess I should be rooting for Dogs to win that Div...still a long way to go, a lot can happen - like Z Miller breaking an ankle...(IR soonest)...

Re: Pred at home...

BTW Chuck, despite my anger and disappointment in my own squad, I do want to sincerely congratulate you on the win. Well done. You've patiently built a really nice squad. Hope I don't fall out of the playoff race and have a shot at redemption in the post-season!

Re: Pred at home...

Copy that...Thanks!!! it has been quite the struggle figuring all the nuances in this league and I am still looking at things with eyes wide open...I am not resting on a few fortunate wins...I'd like to make some moves, but a few larger contracts are holding me in check...good luck the rest of the way...
