Franchise Salary Question
 

When determining the salary of a franchise player, I have a question about DLs and DBs. If the player in question is a corner back, do we average just the top ten paid corner backs? Or do we average the top ten paid corner backs + safeties? Same question for defensive ends and defensive tackles.
Just trying to figure out how to plan. :newb:

For defensive players we only designate three positions: DL, LB and DB. DL are a combination of DE and DT. DB are a combination of CB and S. You would base the franchise top 10 average on the designated position.

For example, the top 10 DL from last year could be a combination of (7 DEs and 3 DTs).

It's also the top 10 player salaries under contract.
