Hmm, I didn't even check MFL. Had no idea it was down, though I already knew my primary target weeks ago.

Huh?

Btw where is your bid? Not supposed to post in a thread without a bid as it screws up the sale clock.

My bid of 1920 at 12:03pm ET is currnetly the high bid.

Scorpions April 16th, 2015 01:48 PM

Re: 2015 Frenzy Official RFA Commentary

for new guy, if your not posting a bid, put your comments here on players.

I see what you are saying about megatron, yes he will be cheaper than last year, but you have to look at swords total cap right now, he has 664 cap space, unless he cuts some players, when megatron sells, he wont be able to match.

Megatron may have just become the highest paid WR in Frenzy history.

Stunner.

Antonio Brown feels like a bargain again at 2222!

Re: 2015 Frenzy Official RFA Commentary

2011 was Megatron's last rookie contract year. He was owned for 1300 then. In 2012, Bad Dogs acquired Megatron for 3100 via RFA. In 2013, Bad Dogs retained him at 3000 via RFA. Last year Swords acquired him for 2900 via RFA.

Re: 2015 Frenzy Official RFA Commentary

I guess Burners liked Sanders more than Tate and didn't want to keep or lose both...gonna have to track stats this season to see if either of us was way off base...

I also guess Cowboys was extremely disappointed about the match on Dez...maybe???

I would not have matched at 3000.

Re: 2015 Frenzy Official RFA Commentary

Feeling much better about my match now. Was debating whether to not match Dez and try to pick up either Calvin or Demarius a few hundred bucks cheaper. Guess that wouldn't have happened.

:goodpost:

I feel WAY better about matching Antonio Brown as well. Not that I ever planned not to, but going from 189 to 2222 was a massive salary bump!

Antonio Brown, last season's #1 WR, looks like a massive steal...even with the massive salary bump.

Oh no doubt, I was spoiled for several years with his crazy low 4th rd draft salary. Probably one of the best 4th round draft picks in Frenzy history, and IMO my best trade ever for a prospect.

.I think I got Jonathan Stewart in exchange.

Burt the Butcher April 20th, 2015 11:52 AM

Re: 2015 Frenzy Official RFA Commentary

Yah, Brown was not highly thought of in his draft year. I got both he and Victor Cruz as a FA claim in their rookie years in my Dynasty league.

At his age, his price even now is a downright crime

Yep

:sorry:

In fairness AB was coming out of his sophomore year and hadn't yet shown he would truly evolve into a stud and was vying for the WR2 role in Pittsbugh in Wallace's shadow. Though the flashes of brilliance were there, his role and emergence in that offense wasn't entirely clear. I targeted AB for his upside and low contract figuring if he regressed it wasn't a huge risk but if he progressed like I thought he would he'd be a bargain. That said, he progressed well beyond my expectations as well.

No..it was a fair deal at the time.....turned out great for u....low risk/ high reward that is what u try to get.

I have a tendency to trade young WRs that turn out to be great.....on that note u wanna trade AB for Ridley

LOL

Ridley didn't have a good tenure with the Preds... don't think he'd be welcomed back!

Bye weeks turned out PERFECT for the Chi-Town Cards this year. Minimal impact while we rebuild. One more good draft class with actual NFL teams doing the right thing with their draft (my targeted players) and the Cards will be in good shape heading into 2016...getting there...
