11/23/14 Bills Jets likely to be postponed if not outright cancelled
 

The snow storm has buried Ralph Wilson Stadium with over 200,000 TONS of snow. Driving bans have been in place for 3 days. The Bills have been unable to practice a single time. The County Executive and Governor are telling the NFL they cannot commit the Sheriff's department and emergency personnel for the game.

The Bills are looking for 500 people to help clear the stadium of snow paying $10/hour and a free ticket to the game (whenever it might happen). Problem is, NOBODY can get to the stadium to do so due to driving bans.

If I had to guess, the game will be postponed till Monday night, possibly even Tuesday night.

We've been homebound for 3 days now, with 5-6 feet of snow. It's crazy. If you're on facebook friend me, have tons of pics up!

Game to be played Monday in Detroit, Pittsburgh or Washington.

Bye bye home field advantage, that's for sure...
I remember the NFL did this a few years ago when the Metrodome roof in MN collapsed due to the snow. I think they played the game in Detroit, and were basically giving tickets away for Detroit residents to show up and make it look like a regular NFL game.

Syracuse Carrier Dome would have been a better choice. Bills fans could actually attend there.

Things are pretty bad right now. Roofs collapsing due to the weight of snow. In our town alone we've lost a BJ's Wholesale Club and a local Collision shop to collapsed roofs. A nursing home is at risk in a nearby town and being evacuated. A mobile home park a few towns over has lost several homes to collapsed roofs. This storm is insane and still ongoing.

Football now a secondary issue in south part of Buffalo. People concerned about getting food, collapsing roofs, life-threatening issues.

Absolute truth in that statement.

Stay safe Mike. I just talked with a lady in Attica and she said she has been snowed in for two or three days. Unreal amount of snow. Prayers to all in that region.

The Bills/Jets game has been officially postponed by the NFL and will not take place at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The game will be played at some point this week at a location TBD by the NFL.

Now maybe they can help get some of those folks' roofs cleared off of snow!

I'd be happy if the damn snow would just stop. We're officially over 7 feet of snow since Tuesday. Absolutely NUTS.

Bills/Jets will be played Monday at 7pm in DETROIT at Ford Field. Sucks to lose a home game, but there was NO WAY they could play at the Ralph. The Bills are actually seriously concerned that the stadium won't be ready for the Browns game a week from Sunday, so stay tuned on that one too!
