Should I be excited about Odell?
 

I was really pulling for my Giants to either grab some O-Line help or nab a stud TE (thanks Detroit).

Instead we get another WR. With recent history of Jerrigan and Randel doing nothing special, I'm just so unexcited about the pick for the Giants. Odell isn't very big, so I can't make the arguement that he fills that "big red zone target" that I wanted with the TE pick.

(Of course, no that I read my sentence that Jerrigan and Randel aren't doing anythign special, I suppose I see the need to try to find someone to get open!)

Okay - 12 picks to still fill the need at O-Line or TE!

The writing was on the wall for Randel...they do not think he is much.
Odell is going to be a good one I think. The problem is, he is too much like Cruz, so why would they get Odell, rather then one of the Big WR who were still, and are still available at that pick? Makes no sense. But some GM's these days do not make sense.

The Giants get another Victor Cruz and you could make the case that is good. However like you said it doesn't fill the big red zone target. Interesting to see if/how the giants fill that need. I'm assuming they realize the need?
