why would you bid on Brown, and then only give him 1 year? You get bit in the butt, bumping and winning everyone? The others I can see, but this one does not make sense to only give 1 year....

Not bit in the butt at all. I wanted all four of these guys. I see him as valuable this year while Jacoby Jones is out. Once Jones is back, I expect Brown to be the #3. I could have given him 2 or 3 years... but honestly don't think he'll be on my team that long. Now, I DO plan on playing him in the weeks to come. And that's what this acquisition was... an upgrade at my WR position.

The illustrious Burt the Butcher has convinced me that I signed Brown to too short a deal. I will therefore be increasing his contract by one additional year. (Thanks, Burt!)
