Scorpions potentially gives up the following:
Chunks the option to swap 2014 3rd's or if Scorpions finishes with later pick then Chunks in rookie draft, and are in last 5 picks, Chunks will swap their 2014 3rd for Scorpions 2014 2nd.

Chunks don't have a 3rd to swap. Chunks traded their 3rd to Burners on May 18, 2013: http://predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21976

Damn we have to clean up the trading of draft picks! Too many of these retro transactions are occurring!

What a mess. So Bush spent the entire season on another teams roster, how can we void the trade after the fact?

I think the trade has to stand at this point but some penalties need to be imposed on Burt for making a trade without having all the necessary pieces (sorry man).

I would suggest penalties in the form of a cap hit of at least the cost of cutting Bush and/or the loss of a 3rd round pick in 2015 draft?

Thoughts Commish and Rules Committee? Too harsh, not harsh enough. Let it die?

You raise a good point, Mike.
When a trade initially takes place that is simply between players, we know within 24 hours whether or not the trade will be legal.
I guess the question for this "trio of trades" that we're looking at with Burt's "plethora of threes"... is WHICH happened first? Then it should be on me, the commish, to be up on any subsequent attempts to trade any additional third rounders. Those should have been negated.

At this point, Burt has welcomed back and cut Bush... so I think justice is served.
But future attempts to play fast and loose with picks (as I'm SURE was Burt's secret plan all along) will not be tolerated (tolerated = totally clueless Commish!).

well, Bush never played a game for Scorpions. Reversing the trade and cutting him resulted in penalties on me already. If you think I need additional penalties, we can leave it up to rules committee, fine by me. How about I lose my 2014 3rd round pick...it should have a couple more lives left.

LOL! Yes, forfeit the 2014 3rd. Love it!

I checked and see that Scorpions never started Bush (which is a good thing). It could have been much messier had Bush been used in games.

I'm fine with whatever punishment the self-describe "clueless" Commish imposes. ;)

All that said, we ALL need to be more diligent about tracking our picks and making sure our trades are indeed valid!
