:burt: Although I DESPISE Brady I'm leaning towards matching. Especially with the bidding on VJax where it currently is.

Honesty I still need to see how a couple other things shake out (NFL Schedule, other available QBs etc) , but I now lean 70-30 towards matching. :sorry:

Final decision will hopefully come in the next 24 hours so you can move in another direction should I choose to retain him.

No worries man...well within your rights...I hate Brady and Pats myself...but will gladly make him a member of THE Mighty Chunks as cornerstone of rebuilding year...

Knock-knock, is this on, oh OK, thank you... ahem... hello everyone, thank you for coming out this rainy afternoon.

I am here today to announce a change in direction with the Predators franchise. We have decided to officially DECLINE matching the Chunks contract offer to QB Tom Brady. We thank Tom for his years of service, but feel it's time to go another direction.

We are also here to annouce a trade with the Chunks. We are sending backup QB Matt Schaub to them so that he can continue backing up Tom, in exchange the Predators will be receiving QB's Phillip Rivers and Alex Smith.

While we recognize that both Rivers and Smith struggled in 2012, we are confident that with a change of scenery and coaching scheme we can help both of these players elevate their games.

Note, I cannot at this time comment on our contract offer on the table for Matthew Stafford aside from stating we are indeed in talks with him and would like to add him to the mix here in Buffalo.

Yeah I miss them too and would love to see more from everyone here. THey add some color and flavor to the league!.

FWIW, I should have tendered Brady as a 1st, would have had myself in position for a 1st rd comp. Now I'm only looking at a 2nd and 3rd (if I decline VJax).

Actually it pained me to guarantee him 800. Not that he isn't worth it, but I didn't want him back. I just couldn't stomach guaranteeing him 1200 and risking no bids on him.

He's a great QB, and worth every penny, but it PAINS me to root for him, I'd rather play QB roulette with others, even if it kills my season!
