RULE CHANGE: Eliminate Toilet Bowl draft bonanza *** RULE PASSES (tiebreak) ***
 

Now that we have very active ownership, shall we eliminate the toilet bowl "draft lottery bonanza" and replace it with a just-for-fun, "ULTIMATE LOSER" playoff for non-championship teams... lose and you advance? NOTE: This will have NO EFFECT on the following year's draft order.

This rule change will also subsequently eliminate the need to reexamine the +7 point home field advantage for the soon-to-be-non-existent Toilet Bowl.

Only year one for the TB lottery for me, but I think it's kinda cool and makes things more interesting.

Maybe a separte thread, but if the bonanza stays, I think we can lose the 7 point home field advantage.

I think if this stays then the teams that are participating should be allowed to bid on players. If something is on the like it seems unfair to penalize owners. For example, I got screwed this year and did not have a healthy QB (I don't count Mark Sanchez) and could not bid on anyone.

to me it makes no sense to allow people competeing for 1st pick in draft to bid on players for people who are competing for the superbowl. i think those who are in playoffs are the ones that should be rewarded and allowed to compete. Toilet bowl intent is mostly to allow people to still play. Maybe we do toilet bowl, but its only for fun, and no reward. Just seems to unfair tha tif i am competing for super bowl, and a guy is competing for toilet bowl, that he can outbid me on a player.

Personally, I think bidding on free agents during playoffs should be limited to those teams who have an injury that requires replacement..so you have a QB go down with injury, you can bid on QB

Reminder... this thread is only about eliminating the toilet bowl. Not about FA claims during the playoffs. (Granted, if the toilet bowl is eliminated, then the FA claim is a moot point, because only playoff teams are still playing).

Who still needs to vote here? Would be nice to get this resolved and eliminated...the last place team past two years have been robbed of #1 pick due to their teams being legimately sucky....

I would allow the new guy to vote however he feels, only negative is he may not fully understand the impact of his vote. That said, Scott voted yes, and I'd like a NO vote from the new guy, so worst case is break even for MY cause... LOL

That would mean I have to finish as the worst team in the league, something which has NEVER happened, nor will it with me at the helm. ;)

I believe my worst season ever in the Frenzy was 7-7... of course, until last year Jim could say something similar, maybe I should just shutup while I'm ahead.

Interesting...looks like if you have been in Toilet Bowl, you want to get rid of it...those who have not, want to keep it....

Maybe the vote should only be amoung those who have been in it? ;-) Or wait to bring it back up when more people have been burned by it...

I really could go either way on this issue. If we can agree that we have active owners and everyone will be in to win until the end, then I don't see a problem with changing the toilet bowl to just for fun.

That is the SOLE reason I voted for it.
But it's a non issue now.
Toilet Bowl stands... at least for 2013 season.
