Undead Don’t Feel Need to Justify Anything

RAVENSWOOD, CHICAGO (AP) – The Hudson Valley Undead announced in a press conference today that they have nothing to justify in regards to the Rookie Draft.

“No matter how poorly this draft class performs, I will never, ever, ever make any apologies or excuses for my decisions,” proclaimed Undead General Manager Jeremy Morse.

Morse then added, "So there."

Pressed for details, Morse refused to relent. “Why do I need a reason for everything? Why do I like Graham better then Jerramy Stevens? I just do, all right? Maybe I had a taste for Graham crackers when our turn came, is that okay with you?”

Asked for an explanation as to why he chose Josh Reed over Javon Walker with the first pick of the second round, Morse replied, “I did it, so don’t you think that I wanted to do it? If you want a list of excuses, just go ask [Parkwood Predators owner] Mike for a draft of the post he would have made had I taken Walker and Reed fell to him. I’m sure that will give you plenty of reasons why Reed is the better pick.”

Head Coach Brant Moustis could not be reached for comment, thankfully for Morse.

Thar! Thar!

Stand by your decisions! Most of these players are going to be development material anyway, right!? And I'm sure that Mike had a HUGE post ready to announce the Predators' selection of Reed!

Besides... we "lower tier" teams in the Eastern Division need to unite against the "Big Daddy" champ, and dethrone that boy!

Can I get an "Amen" from the Freedom?

LOL Jeremy, having second thoughts?

I would have preferred Reed, and was a bit miffed when you moved up and stole him on me (in fact I called Coach Moustis to see if he revealed inside info from a conversation we had last night... I never anticipated you'd move up and was hoping, correctly I might add, that Brant wouldn't tell you I was gonna take Reed after him and I discussed it).

In retrospect, I am quite pleased to have Walker over Reed, and at this point welcome Javon and his 7 score on the Wonderlic into the Predators family. Heck, he's a football player, all he needs to know is how to play the game, something he's already demonstrated. Now. mastering the WCO, thats yet to be seen, maybe Brett will give him some tutoring lessons LOL!

Reed is a posession receiver, whereas Walker is going to be more of the main guy for Brett & co (don't tell me about Glenn, he'll f'up and be off the field before you know it!). As for Brett's career, I don't see him retiring within the next 3-4 years. I plan on giving Javon a 3-4 year deal, so I anticipate Brett will be his QB the length of his contract. So there!

Further, had I taken Reed, it would have been more of a homer pick than anything. Usually I have a rule, NEVER have ANY Buffalo Bills on my squad. After trading Henry in the LT deal, and then having you steal Reed I can still proudly proclaim my roster as free of the ills, I mean Bills.

Additionally, Walker seems to be considered the better candidate by most of the country, time will tell.

As for Stevens vs. Graham, I had Graham ranked #1, Stevens #2. Not sold on Shockey, especially considering he's on the Ginats and only has Kerry Collins throwing to him. Regardless, the top 3 TE's were certainly value picks.
