Mike, oh how the mighty have fallen! The Preds, Opihi & Saints are just shells of our former championship selves. (sigh) I think I'll be the one who will fall to 0-3, though I'm not counting out Jordy Nelson & the Pack D. I couldn't have asked for a better scenario going into Monday night, though. Had you started Jamaal Charles & Michael Turner, I'd be toast. Good luck tonight (just not the BEST of luck!). ;)

Well I have Lynch and the Hawks D and an 8 point lead against Nelson and the Pack D for you.

Should be interesting since each of us have an offensive player and our defenses going head to head, which mean every down will be interesting. I might actually have to tune in to part of the game! LOL

As for Jamaal, I came THIS close to putting him in Sunday morning due to the weak New Orleans D, however, he cost me a win last week by just over half a point with his phantom knee soreness (which is supposedly why he sat out over half the game last week). On principal I sat him down, but figures he threw it back in my face.

Oh well! Good luck Jim. It's a long season, not even an 0-3 start is likely to keep either of us down for long!

Liquid Swords avoided what looked to be an 0-3 start going into this week's match up with the mighty Bad Dogs. However, some solid QB and Defensive stats propelled the Swords to their first win of the season...albeit, first half exits by Reggie Bush and C.J. Spiller may have helped the Swords' cause.

Well, in all fairness, it wasn't a for sure thing that he was going to be back to play last night...or that his heart would be in it...what a sad tragedy...one of the few times I have rooted for Baltimore, but it did help they were playing the Pats!!

Absolutely HORRENDOUS officiating to end the Hawks game. Wow. That was a blatant offensive interference with a pushoff followed by a clear cut interception.

The replacement officials are just embarrassing. Wow. The NFL should be ashamed of themselves. That was brutal!

Shameful. Russell Wilson's on my roster... and I'm embarrassed for that ending. CLEAR offensive pass interference... and a clear interception overturned. Wow.

BTW Jim, I hope you go on a tear in the coming weeks. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to finally get a win, but the Frenzy just aint right without the Opihi challenging for the championship!

One of the officials called a touchback and the other one called a TD. I never saw the officials huddle to talk it over. The real officials would have talked it over before making a final call.

It was horribly called the whole game, not just that last play. The refs changed the flow of the game constantly with either bad calls, or badly missed calls, on both sides. The last call was most visible since it ended the game, but really that call did not decide the game alone. Seahawks DEF played a hell of a game, and we'll take the win!!

It was a culmination of blown calls. I'll argue all day that Tate had equal control of the ball once they hit the ground and according to the rules, that means offense is in possession. Looking at replays, there was nothing definitive to go the other way.

What the joke was, is that Tate obviously pushed off before the leaping began, and should have been flagged for OPI. But you cannot tell me the Hawks were not robbed on blown calls at least twice during Packs TD drive. So who's to say if proper calls were made, it would have even come down to that last play? Hell, on one play Sidney Rice was playing horsey with Pack defender, riding him with a saddle and whip, and they called DPI..wtf?

Embarrassed? For the NFL and the joke of officials they trot out each week, yes. About the win, hell no....it should not have even come down to that...

Lots of bad calls, for sure.
But I think only Seahawks fans think it was "equal control" on the reception/interception. Seriously.
Anyway... it's a win. Nothing can change that now.

The GB DB had full control of the ball and brought it into his chest. Tate had 1 arm in there and didn't clamp down on the ball until after possession was clearly established by Green Bay when he hit the ground. No question that was an interception IMO and a terrible, terrible call by the officials.

I watched it all live as it happened, and yes saw every angle they had. Also saw it all again on the TODAY show this morning.

And of course I heard Gruden's comments. Didn't think I memorized them word for word though, nor was I in any way trying to quote him. Regardless, I agree with his comments wholeheartedly!

It's not like any one of us wouldn't look at it in a biased manner if it was "our team" that got the call so you can't fault Burt on this. I was a bit disappointed on Tate's comments....just admit you pushed Shields, what's the difference at this point, it's on video and easy to see. Now you just come off as a liar.
I think the biggest disappointment of the game is how the monster performance of the Seattle D is over looked because of the ending. Holding what is supposed to be one of the best offenses in the league to one TD is pretty amazing.

All in all, GB loses on a heartbreaking play and the Vikings shutdown what was thought of as the best team in the league...so it's a big win-win for me :)
