Waiver Wire for THURSDAY games - *** PASSES ***
 

As you may have read in the James Jones thread, the league rules state that bidding ends on every Thursday game at 11:59pm EST Wednesday. This was originally made years ago when we really only had the Thanksgiving game. Since then the NFL Network has added more & more Thursday games... so now we have a game every week.

The question is, shall we extend the waiver bidding to kickoff on Thursday?

A simple yes or no shall suffice.
I suggest we make this effective for week 3, if it passes.

We have a majority of the 12 owners voting in favor of this.
Effective immediately, bidding on all Thursday players will suspend at kickoff.

Not to put a damper on the party, and bring back the ire of Preds, but in-season rule changes need to be unanimous among all 12 owners:

"After installment of the final version of the league rules, major changes to the rules can only be made through a league-wide vote. Any member club can propose a change to the rules by calling for a vote from the entire league during the off-season ONLY. Simply write up something that can be answered with a yes or no, and if a majority of clubs vote yes, the rules will be changed accordingly. Any rules changes after the start of the draft through the conclusion of the season must be agreed upon by the entire league unanimously. In the event of a tie in any rule vote, the rules committee will hold a separate vote, with majority rule breaking the tie."

you do understand, even a no vote here, only delays this till next year, it passes to be implemented next year, but does not get implemented this year.

looks like when i hit the drop down that takes me to the latest new update, it skipped over the hey i made a mistake post, and so all i saw was a not vote, and sorry it took to long to vote, lol

I am revising rule book. Does this rule also cover Saturday games? Currently, the rule book lumps together both days...
