Easy as pie! Draft and yer done!

As it will rain all weekend here in northeast, I've set up another Survivor league.

Springfield United FFL (password is doh)

12 Teams / Time limit is 14 hours (sleeping) / Predraft Appreciated

Springfield-Related team name not at all necessary, but would be swell.

All welcome!

I joined. Maybe this will keep away the boredom.

I don't know anything about these leagues... so I went to the site and read the FAQs... one question: the 14 hour time limit... is that the time for the complete draft, or just per selection? If it's per selection, shouldn't be a problem... if it's a "lets cram and do the whole draft now" then WOW!!!

Second question... any hints as to what a guy from the islands might use as a "springfield-related team name," should I choose to join?

14 per pick. I decided to be merciful.

Sure, there is predraft, but if predraft picks a full round at Saturday 8:00, and your out and hung over, you still have until 10:00 AM. (still tight, IMO, but most leagues going with 12 hours).

Autodraft kicks in at some point.

1. What is "predraft" (is that making your master draft board?)

As for MOLOKAI, I've actually been to Kalaupapa, the leprosy colony. There are still patients there with Hansens' disease. The Hawaiian government used to take persons with leprosy away from their families and deposit them at Kalaupapa... forcing them to create new families and live on their own. FYI.

yes, predrafting is making up a board for your next pick, by selecting (usually) just as many players as you are currently away from said pick, and ordering them.

In the later rounds, predrafting way ahead may be a good thing. For instance, you know you want a PK in the final round? Rank 40 of them and that round is pre-drafted. Unfortunately, one cannot begin to predraft until the league is full. No fun.

Jim, its when you provide a list of players to the MFL server so that it will automatically pick the top player available off your list when your turn comes up.

Topes, depending on when you start this I may be interested in joining in the fun. Any chance we could all chip in for a trophy or something to the survivor to make things a bit more interesting?

Okay... I think I get it. You don't have to have your entire draft board... just the number of slots before your next pick (ie. 12). Do you post this when you make your picks?

So we can't start until everyone's signed up? I'd be interested, then... will be in CA from June 16-22, but should be able to get computer access a couple times a day, if need be!

Your predraft list is done on the server Jim, no-one else will see it. Sign up... I just did :)!

Okay, I'm in... as the "Holy Rollers" (wasn't enough room for "Lovejoy's Holy Rollers"). :D

I wanted to be Moe's Family Feedbag, but not enough room.

Anyway, I got an email that the league was active but I log in and it still has it under Pending and I can't do anything.

Anyone else having problems?

same here... I'm guessing it may take the xpert leagues site a while to activate the league once the "go!" word has been given.

No rush, I guess... :cool:

I think it starts once people sign up... not sure if we set a date after that, or just move ahead!?

Just opened up a password-free league at the board with SHORT (4 hr) time limits per pick (better predraft before bed), 10 team league, open to anybody interested!

Is this all done?
 

This is my first experience with the expert leagues... is it an actual "during the NFL season" league? Or was it simply a drafting experience? The website where we drafted players has nothing about scoring yet... just curious.

Only a "mock" I guess!?!
 

I keep checking on the homepage for this league... and see nothing to indicate that there's an actual season going on. Unless I'm just not looking in the right place, I guess this was just a "mock" draft experience?!

Yeah me too......I asked Mike if he knew what would happen and he told me that Red should be emailing us or something like that......I sure wish he would do it soon because I'm sorta interested in how my teams are doing.

You should have received an e-mail from XpertLeagues this evening. Results are also posted on the site now. According to the site owner results will be eMailed on Tuesday evenings each week from here on out.

Um... I'm in ONE survivor league. No immunity. Still alive. Average rank: 8. I think I scored like 80-something points. Nothing great. But I'm still alive!!!
