I only have one pick in the 2012 Frenzy rookie draft, thus I have to make it count.

There may be better athletes, higher NFL draft picks, and higher ranked combine wonders remaining on the draftboard, but none of them are the PLAYMAKER that Criner is.

I'll take on-the-field football skills over raw athleticism every day of the week.

Criner makes plays. PERIOD. He made his QB look good at Arizona, and will do the same in Oakland. He has a solid chance to be WR2 in Oakland before his rookie season is over.

Welcome to the soon to be 2012 Frenzy Champion Parkwood Predators Juron!

No, but I can:

At the 2012 NFL Combine, Criner ran a 4.68 time in the 40-yard dash. At his following Pro-Day, Criner ran a 4.61. If you don't think 40-times "matter" here are the three best NFL WRs, who ran a 4.65+ time in the 40 in the last 5+ years -- Anquan Boldin, Justin Gage, Mohammed Massaquoi (after Massaquoi it gets even worse, with a sea of unrecognizable names). Should Criner be teamed with the next Kurt Warner & Larry Fitzgerald combination, he might have a fine stretch of an NFL career. Criner as a hoped-for "play-maker" or "difference-maker" is really not likely to exist for him in the NFL based on his physical limitations (see Boldin on the Ravens as an example). Criner's 40-times are slow, and his agility times are just as/more concerning.

So Burt you're saying there is a chance?

Always a chance in NFL I guess...no one gave Steve Largent much of a chance....

Please continue to draft based on combine numbers, love it. That's why so many teams SUCK at the NFL draft.

I'll take the real football players that actually make plays on the field with defenders attacking them and won't concern myself over being 0,10 seconds slower than the next guy who can't f'ing make plays with the ball.

Sure you want guys that can make plays. Burt found something that says guys that slow don't usually (1 in past 5 years) make plays. Your guy could be the one that breaks that trend.

No twisting on my part, but I love the dedicated minions who spew you're words as if they're gospel.

Meanwhile, look at their records... all but Burners were at or near the bottom of the standings last year. Word to the wise, Preds knows his stuff, in fact the entire East division does. Follow our example, we'll teach you how to play this game and WIN! ;)

Big talk for a guy that took over a playoff team.

Yah..you've won as many Championships as THE Mighty Chunks...unless you are riding Jim's coattails, and lumping his massive Frenzy success into your own...then maybe my 'minions' can start to listen....

I know some history like you started Frenzy and SACD and you did a good job. I especially like the SACD format.

The other history I know is you've done a lot of trash talking about how good you are.

Did I miss anything?

I think a bit of a history lesson is in order here. I went back through the annals..

I was a part of the Frenzy for the first 6 years of it's existence beginning in 2001 until I stepped aside into semi-retirement after the 2006 season.

During that 6 year stretch:
  • I won 2 Frenzy Championships (Frenzy Bowl III & Frenzy Bowl V) - How many have you won in the Frenzy Burt? Oh yeah, just 1 in your 1 measly appearance this past season
  • I appeared in 4 Frenzy Bowls in a row (Frenzy Bowls, II, III, IV & V)
  • Over the 6 years I had a .690 regular season winning % with 58 wins against 26 losses
  • Over the 6 years I had a .700 playoff winning % with 7 wins against 3 losses
  • Over the 6 years I had an overall winning % of 0.691 with 65 wins against 29 losses
  • Over 6 seasons, I never had a record below .500
Further...
  • My divisional brethren the Royal Hawaiian Opihi have also been in 4 Frenzy Bowls (over a longer 10 year period), winning 3 and losing 1 (guess who Jim lost to... ;)) Additionally, 2 of Jim's Frenzy Bowl wins came AFTER I stepped away, making a much easier road for him ;)
  • My divisional brethren, the Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects have appeared in 3 Frenzy Bowls, winning the first ever Frenzy Bowl I back in 2001 and falling to the Opihi in 2006, and the team I've taken over (the former Bayern Reds) in 2010
  • Finally my divisional brethren the Philadelphia Freedom made their 1st Frenzy Bowl appearance in 2011, falling to Burt's Dixie Chix by only 10.35 points
  • In the 11 year history of the Frenzy, the 4 teams comprising the East have made a staggering 54.5% of the appearances in the Frenzy Bowl (12 of 22 teams) with a record of 6-6 [two of those losses being against other East Division teams (one of those losses being the Opihi's loss to me and the other the Insects losing to the Opihi)].
Now, how do you like them apples?

Don't mess with the East, we know how to play ball!

Your Minions just might want to learn from the best and take lessons from those of us in the East, who you know, actually know how to win on a consistent basis and often in a dominant fashion!

Bring on the 2012 season baby!

Good job of changing the subject from your slow WR and confirming what I said earlier about the trash talking (by the way you're very good at it):stirspot:

Oh and if he turns out ok I like my crow barbecued.

Yep quite impressive...and old history....current history says THE Mighty Chunks are the dominant team...all roads lead through Dixie my friend...and just like you pointed out when Hans took over your team in SAC'd, until you rid your team of all the fine players Michael accumulated to make your team a good one, you will just be living off his fine management skills...

Well when he first came back on board he was talking about building the team in his mold and for everyone to watch and see how to build a winner. Me being a new comer to this format I was ready to start watching and learning. What I saw was him match all 3 of the RFAs (V. Jackson, Garcon and Gates) that was left to him. I think the only players still in the NFL on the team I took over are Manningham and Turner. The only thing I've learned so far is how to trash talk.
