Question about cap...
Freedom and Burt's discussion about cap during RFA bidding reminds me...
You can go over your cap on winning RFA bid without penalty until 24 hours AFTER owning team decides to "decline match", right? The penalty 24 hour clock doesn't start at all if the origional owning team "matches". The limbo period after winning highest bid and owning team declares whether to match or not, the high bidder can be over the cap without penalty (as I understand the rules). |
Re: Question about cap...
Correct John. You always have 24 hours to get back under the cap...
I just think Freedom did not want to cut anyone else, and with his two remaining RFA's still to be bid upon, those two starting salaries still count against his cap, which along with Marshall's 2300 salary, would put him back over the cap... So yes, if Matt would like to make a cut, and change his mind, he still has time to do so... |
