I don't know about everyone else, but, I'm not planning on being too active in the RFA process this season until I know what happens with my own tendered players.

If everyone takes that approach we may not have any bidding. Maybe we need to make some deals, " you bid on my guy and I'll bid on yours". Maybe get a 3 way going.:woowoo:

LOL, yeah I know, but honestly, I'm not too interested with most of the market. I'll react if I have to, but am not looking to be aggressive in this years market. Trust me, in years past I was very aggressive with RFA's, but I'm taking a different approach than I used to this year.

As to the 3-way, sorry, I want no part of a sausage fest!

Heads-up to everyone...

I am going to be without internet access from Saturday 4/7 through the following Saturday 4/14.

I will also have very limited access tomorrow afternoon through Saturday, as we will be driving down to Miami for a Cruise on the Norwegian Epic on Saturday.

If any of my players sell while I'm gone, please have 1 person send me a text at 716-481-8823. I believe Burt said he was willing to do that. I can receive texts free while on the ship, and it's only $0.50 to send one, thus if you send me a text with the the name of the player who sold, their sale price, and when my 48 hour match period will be up I'll give a response on whether I'm matching or not before the end of the match period.

It will also be helpful if you can send me the current hi-bid for my players that haven't yet sold so I can factor that in my decisions to match or decline.

Thanks and enjoy your Easter holiday!

How does Calvin Johnson sell for more than MJD? How do I not match? Who else really cares.....

Maybe because stud WR's are worth more than stud RB's since they're harder to come by?

Re: 2012 Official Frenzy RFA Commentary

Or maybe because the Dogs are the worst team in the league and don't know what they're doing and figure they have enough RBs.

Couldn't be that; after all the Mighty Chunks put in a pretty high bid on CJ.

Re: 2012 Official Frenzy RFA Commentary

So much for my tender low strategy... Could have had at least a 2nd rd comp for VJax.

Was hoping the fact that WR's changing teams generally SUCK their first year would keep his salary a bit more realistic. Guess not.

I'm not a VJax fan (nor a fan of the Bucs offense) and do not think he will earn his salary in 2013. Ironically, I AM a Bucs fan (they're my NFC team), go figure!

Bid him up boys, it's highly unlikely that I will match!

Stupid me gave up a higher comp but what can you do.

I have the Bucs offense (Freeman/Williams)in SACD. I'm interested in seeing if the problem there is Freeman or Williams. According to some of the coaches that left Williams and Blount spent to much time partying late at night and sleeping in meetings.

I believe we have a rule against announcing your intentions for RFA's, so be careful here my friend.....

:sorry::new:

Who instituted that rule? Never had that when I was in the league!

That's no fun... no fun at all!

BOOOOOOOOOO!

;)

Re: 2012 Official Frenzy RFA Commentary

Time to go research the codices of the rules to see the logic behind banning talk of the intention to match/decline RFAs!

That takes away all the fun of bluffing, or inciting bidding wars which are always fun to watch! It's not like there is any gain to the team that announces their intention.

Again...

B0000000000OOOOO!
:agree:

I think Mike actually left the window open that he would match... so wasn't completely leaving it up for the highest bidder.

So you guys really instituted a rule on this?

I really don't see much of advantage to an owner declaring one way or another.

The only argument I could see against it is that it could artificially spike a salary and therefore the salary differential used to sort out compensation picks (not that it will matter much with the low level I tendered RFA's at, the differential is already huge)!

Truth is, no worries, I'll make sure to play by the rules (the new and the old) from this point forward now that I understand you put a ban on open declarations!

Maybe I will match VJax, who knows. ;)

OMG, I wonder how long it will take Jim to celebrate? The cap strapped Opihi have been let off the hook for Vick's tender! I'll be shocked if Jim matches!

4 RFAs left to be bid on.
Just a reminder that RFA bidding ends at 11:59pm on April 30th.
Should no bids be made on any of the 4 players left, they'll "sign" their tender offers form the originating teams.
