contract year question
 

I had a big brain fart during this RFA period... I'd forgotten that we didn't have to state contract years until Aug. 15th... and I was under the (mistaken) impression that we had to list our contract years when we matched or received an un-matched RFA bid. I've done that for the 3 RFAs on the Opihi team now (Garner, Troy Brown & Holt)... but I'd like to recind (sp?) them, so I can better manage my team prior to the Aug. 15th date (or if any of them are included in a trade, I realize they need to be designated before that happens).

So I fall upon the mercy of the rules committee... spirit of the law vs. letter of the law!?!

After confering with Mike, we are in agreement that since contract years do not need to be assigned to free agents and draft picks prior to 8/15 (unless traded), we will be ignoring all contract year assignments for players acquired thus far by all teams.
