I hate to be a party poper here, but half his salry still counts against the cap , roster app is up to date, you only have 35 bucks in cap space, this would require you to free up 20 more bucks in cap space before the 24 hr period is up form winning him.

Before putting any player on IR, you must have FULL SALARY ROOM on your active roster. THEN you can make the move to IR.
